Yoga for Seniors

Our seniors classes are specially designed to provide a safe space for senior students looking for an effective way to enhance physical health and overall wellness. Moving the body consciously to bring mobility and stability. In these classes we are building balance, courage and strength. Using and adapting yoga postures to suit the needs of older bodies.

We have a collection of classes that are suitable for Senior students and an excellent value membership that allows you to do up to 6 classes per week for just $30 per week. Further details are provided below.

  • Class Details

    Our classes that are suitable for Senior students include:

    • Monday 11am Seniors Class,

    • Wednesday 4.30pm Back Care,

    • Thursday 8.30am Seniors Class

    • Thursday 4.30pm Neck & Shoulders,

    • Saturday 12.30pm Yoga Therapy - General (starts 04/24). and

    • Sunday 5pm Restorative.

    Casual Class - $22 Card

    Membership - $30 per week where Members can attend any of these 6 classes:

    • Monday Seniors Class 11am

    • Wednesday Back Care 4.30pm

    • Thursday Seniors Class 8.30am

    • Thursday Neck & Shoulders 4.30pm and

    • Sunday Restorative 5pm.

Yoga for Seniors FAQ

Do I need to bring anything?

No, we have all the equipment at the centre. If you want to bring your own yoga mat, please do so.

What do I wear?

Wear comfortable clothing that you can freely move in.

I have an illness or injury. Can I still join the Seniors classes?

Support will be available for all of the yoga poses that we do in the Seniors Classes however, there is not the opportunity to teach specifically to individuals with chronic illnesses or injuries. Students that have long term health conditions are encouraged to consider our Yoga Therapy classes and should contact the school prior to joining the Seniors classes.

Do I need prior yoga experience to join the classes?

No prior experience is required to join our Yoga for Seniors classes.

Do I need to book?

No bookings are required, just turn up 10 minutes before the class starts and payment can be made by cash or cards at the studio.

Do you have stairs at the studio?

The studio is on the first floor so there is a set of stairs at the front door to take you from the ground floor into the studio space.
