IMMUNE SEQUENCE WORKSHOPS
The Immune Sequence is a well-known practice within the Iyengar Yoga tradition, developed by B.K.S. Iyengar. It combines supported forward extensions, backbends, inversions, and restorative postures in a carefully considered order designed to quieten the nervous system, improve circulation, support the respiratory system, and help maintain balance in the body's natural defence mechanisms.
In this workshop, which is being run both in the studio and online, we will explore the sequence in depth, learning how the sequence works together to create a powerful and integrated practice. Suitable for general and experienced students who are experienced practising Headstand (Sirsasana) and Shoulderstand (Sarvangasana), this workshop offers the opportunity to develop a sequence that can become a valuable resource during times of stress, fatigue and seasonal illness.
The workshop consists of two complementary practice sessions held on the same day and is designed to be experienced as a complete programme. The morning practice is 1.5 hours in duration, followed by a 1-hour afternoon session that builds on and completes the work of the morning.
Cost of the workshop $55.
Online attendees will be sent the Zoom link once they have booked the workshop.
Collective+ Members receive a discounted workshop price of $45.
To access the member rate, please book and pay directly at the studio.
MOVING BEYOND BEGINNERS WORKSHOP
Beginners to General: Where Your Yoga Can Take You
Are you wondering if you're ready to move beyond our Beginner classes? This weekend workshop is an opportunity to explore what comes next and discover the depth and variety of our General classes.
Across two sessions, Hasu will take you through the things you need to know to feel at home in a General class. We'll look at how General classes are structured, explore key poses, and spend time on inversions and their preparations, looking a different ways to approach them.
The workshop is designed to give you the confidence to take that next step. By the end of the weekend, you'll be ready to join our General classes and continue exploring where your yoga can take you.

EXPLORING INVERSIONS FOR SENIORS WORKSHOP
This workshop has been designed specifically for students who regularly attend our Seniors classes and would like to discover more about inversions.
Inversions offer a different perspective—physically, mentally and energetically—and have an important place in Iyengar Yoga. They are an essential part of yoga practice, offering an opportunity to quiet the mind, refresh the body and experience a different quality of energy.
Dannie will explore supported versions and alternatives, and look at how inversions can be adapted for different bodies, abilities and stages of practice.
Using props and support, you'll have the opportunity to try different approaches and discover ways of practising inversions that are appropriate for you.
There will be plenty of time to practise, ask questions and explore at your own pace. The workshop is spread across two 90-minute sessions over the weekend of 24–25 October, giving you time to build on what you learn in the first session and continue exploring in the second.
YOGA THERAPY TRAINING WORKSHOPS
Yoga therapy sits at the heart of MYC, and this program reflects our long-standing commitment to it. Participants in the program will have the opportunity to explore, adapt, and engage with yoga therapy through a practical, hands-on approach.
For teachers and experienced students who attend they will gain insight into seeing body and feeling the benefits of yoga as a therapy. While also learning how to apply these principles in guiding others safely and effectively.
Our Yoga Therapy Training weekends are offered both in-studio and online.
We will be offering two weekends over the year each with a Friday evening and Saturday afternoon session.
The first weekend took place in June and focused on the Back of the Body and the second weekend will look at the Front of the Body in September.

SUMMER WORKSHOPS WITH HASU & SIMON
For as long as we can remember, our End of Year and New Year Workshops have been a firm favourite with our yoga community. They have become a special part of the MYC calendar, giving us the chance to practise together at this time of year.
End of Year Workshop with Hasu 27–29 December
The days between Christmas and New Year have a special quality in Sydney—things slow down, the city becomes quieter, and there is finally a little space to pause. Hasu's End of Year Workshop is an opportunity to use that time to rest, restore and reconnect with your practice before the year comes to a close.
New Year Workshop with Simon 2–4 January
Start the new year by immersing yourself in your yoga practice. Simon's New Year Workshop offers three days of focused practice to help you begin the year with clarity, energy and a strong foundation for the months ahead.
Each workshop includes five two-hour sessions across three days, with morning and afternoon sessions on the first two days and a morning session only on the final day.
Throughout January, we often have additional workshops led by other MYC teachers, offering further opportunities to practise together over the summer break.
Registrations will open to our General students towards the end of the year.
