ONLINE CLASSES WITH STEPHANIE QUIRK
Friday 5pm Pranayama – Weekly from 5th February 2021.
Friday Pranayama – 5pm AEDT
Lie down with Stephanie Quirk and let the world breathe through you on Fridays.
A weekly class for the MYC Online School. Unlike Stephanie’s other classes with MYC, this class is not for teachers to learn and undertake professional development. This class is for students and teachers alike to be a student, just like the other General classes on our timetable. If you cannot join the class live, you will be able to access the recordings as part of your membership every week. We will not be renting the recording of these classes anywhere else.
Joining the MYC Online School also means you have access to other classes on the timetable & the content library. You can sign up for a weekly membership here.
Thursdays 11am – 4 Part Series starts 18th March
Thursdays with Stephanie Quirk – 11am AEDT
Investigation & Learning for teachers & practitioners.
As most teachers are not working one on one with Therapy right now, these sessions are intended to connect the practitioner to adapted poses in their own practice. There is an aspect of inquiry, investigation and learning to these classes rather than a sequence or a lecture. This class runs on select Thursdays through out the year and is not part of the Online Membership. Students need to book separately for these sessions.
UPCOMING CLASSES:
18th & 25th March, 22nd & 29th April.
Movement & Restraint
Compactness & Expansion
Any asana though held quietly and with poise over some period of time, has within its composition opposing forces. That is why an asana is simultaneously dynamic and static.
In the next two series, we will look at how we work with these opposing forces: Movement & Restraint. Compactness & Expansion
Most asana are composed of a mixture of all the qualities. There has to be restraint for any movement to occur and there has to be a compactness for expansion to come about. Then there are asana that are predominant in one of those qualities.
Book Part One: 18th March
Book Part Two: 25th March
Book Part Three: 22nd April
Book Part Four: 29th April
