Designed to teach the foundations of Iyengar Yoga, our online beginners classes are suitable for students that have never done yoga before or are looking to return after a break.
Iyengar Yoga is dynamic, physical and rejuvenating. It is suited to all ages and fitness levels, making yoga accessible to all bodies at all stages of life. There is an emphasis on precision and alignment in all poses and the appropriate use of props and sequencing, with teachers monitoring students and making adjustments.
- A one hour live beginner class each week. Thursdays at 6pm AEST.
- If you are unable to attend a class, they will be recorded and made available for playback in our Content Library in PunchPass. Students can then catch-up the class at a suitable time.
- Students also get access to other pre-recorded classes including a 3-class introduction to online beginner classes at MYC. Students must complete these classes before joining the weekly Beginners classes live. This will include how the beginner programme works; basic principles for attending live online classes; the basic household items that we may use as props and how they will be used; an introduction to some basic standing and seated yoga poses.
