Why go to Pune? Guest post by James Burton

Why go to Pune?
Guest post by James Burton.
Originally written in 2005.
Part Three of our Pune blog series.

This article was written after James’ first trip to Pune in 2005. He has been back twice since.
James Burton started practicing yoga in 1998 with Pixie at the Balmain Yoga Studio — he grew up in Balmain and has known Simon and his family since he was a little kid— and did his teacher training with her (Simon did his training then too).

James started teaching in 2001 and went on to get his Iyengar certification in 2003, before relocating to the US in 2005.

James lives and works as a yoga teacher and artist in Idaho, USA.
