Our Foundations Classes are designed to teach the correct foundations of Iyengar Yoga. Our teachers are highly trained and experienced in guiding students through the first steps of yoga. This level is perfect for students who are new to Yoga or new to the Iyengar method.

Class Schedule Each week, during the 6 weeks of the Beginners Yoga Course, an almost identical Beginners Yoga Class is held at these times, and you just need to come to one of them per week (unless you want to come to more!).
Monday 12 noon-1pm and 7.00pm-8.00pm
Friday 12 noon – 1pm
Saturday 10-11am for the current course

Benefits of Foundations
This level is perfect for those starting their yoga journey as everything is explained and taught in a systematic way, students can spend as much time as they need at this level before progressing to our general classes. Foundations also suit our General students, as it allows them to revisit these Foundations asana and principles. With correct foundations, students can progress their yoga practice with a level of confidence and knowledge.
Do I need to bring anything? No, we have all the equipment at the centre.
What do I wear? Wear comfortable clothing that you can freely move in.
I have an existing injury. Can I still come? The Foundations classes are not designed to teach specifically to individuals with chronic illnesses or injuries. Students that have long term health conditions are encouraged to consider our Yoga Therapy classes and should contact the school prior to enrolling in the Foundations Course.

I am pregnant. Are these classes suitable for me? Foundations classes are NOT suitable for students who are pregnant. We do not offer Pre-natal classes at the centre. Pregnant Students are encouraged to consider our Yoga Therapy classes.
